Who We Are

TechWiseTutors began with a moment close to home. I watched my grandmother struggle to use her electronics. She did not need another complicated guide; she needed someone patient enough to sit beside her and help.

That experience made me realize how many seniors are expected to learn rapidly changing technology on their own. Together with Aarin and Maysam, I helped create a student-run organization where seniors could ask questions freely, receive practical support and build confidence at their own pace.

During one of our sessions, a senior showed us a suspicious text containing an unfamiliar link. It changed how we understood our work. Teaching device skills mattered, but helping people recognize scams and protect themselves mattered just as much. Cyber-fraud awareness is now central to our mission.

I am proud of the volunteers, community partners and seniors who continue to shape TechWiseTutors. Every session reminds us that good technology education begins with listening, respect and human connection.
